About the event
Join us for 3 days of rafting on the Deschutes River. Just a short 2.5-hour drive from Portland, immerse yourself in the beauty of this stunning, wild, and scenic river. During our 3-day and 2-night rafting excursion, we will connect with our innate resilience by tuning into the wisdom of our natural world and our place in it. The days will be spent navigating 50+ miles of river, and in the evenings, we will come together for reflection, discussion, and connection under the stars. Here you will learn attunement and resilience skills that will help you sustain your career in healthcare.
Facilitated by former ER mental health therapist, Amy Ponteri, LPC, ATR-BC, LCAT, former ER RN, Heather Sweeney, RN, MSN, CEN, and Randall ED nurse educator and Licensed Grand Canyon Rafting Guide, Zander Brown, RN, BSN, CPEN, this retreat is approved for 7.5 CEs by the California Nursing Board and by the National Association of Social Workers.
Our company guide, River Drifters, has over 40 years of experience. All rafting equipment and meals will be prepared and provided for you. You will bring your own tent, sleeping bag, pad, and sundry items to fit into provided dry bags. You will set up your tent/sleeping accommodations each evening and take them down in the morning.
This is a unique conference experience! We look forward to exploring the wilderness, falling sleep under the stars, and developing tools you will return to town with for yourself and your career.
